FurCats - A Shop. For Cats.
FurCats was founded on the desire to provide healthy food for cats. We opened our physical shop in July 2017, in the heart of Chorlton, Manchester, before moving entirely online in August 2022. We aimed to meet all your feline needs – and wants and enjoyed every minute of it!
After taking a break from the animal world, we have returned to now offer a cat and dog sitting service. FurCats & Dogs Sits – Purrs, Paws and Professional Care – where we again, have put our pets at the very centre. We know just how important our pets are in our world and want to ensure comfort, care and peace of mind with our home visits. Our service includes feeding, play, timely updates, kitten visits, vet runs and home extras!

Healthy Cat Mission
The premise for our FurCats shop, was to explore the link between healthy cat; healthy owner. There is a tonne of evidence out there, that proves that cats and dogs can help maintain not only our physical, but also emotional well-being; keeping us happy and healthy. They are, some might say, the ‘pawfect’ companion (I’m sorry, just the one pet-pun, I promise)!
Cats and dogs have often been regarded as therapy pets – and those of us who have loved a pet, just know how true this is! So, let us indulge them with healthy food and healthy play – to stimulate them mentally as well as physically!

A Word from FurCats' Owner
“I was a secondary school teacher for a number of years, before opening FurCats in July 2017 in Chorlton, Manchester. Being a first-time pet-owner, I discovered the joys of owning a kitten, and started to shop for two! But here is where my frustration began; I realised very quickly, that in order to buy him food and other items I deemed essential, I had to travel around. Having benefitted from the healing powers of my kitty, the priority for my shop was to ensure that owners could feed their cats well and indulge them (on a par with dogs), all under one roof! My intention was to create a place, borne of the love I had for my own cat that would be understood and mirrored by a wider cat community. I realised quickly, that like their lion ancestors, cats are very much the ‘kings’ of their jungle; the heart of a home.
Having taken a break from the pet world, I have returned, offering a cat and dog sitting service, where I want to indulge and be indulged with feline and canine love! Being owned by four cats; BaaBa, Katniss, Rani and Watson, I know just how important it is to be able to offer them comfort, even in my absence. I offer a range of services from feeding, play, timely updates, kitten visits, vet runs and home extras!”
